1. High Art 2009: Installation Art / Innovative Recycled Objects

High Art 2009 at the Attleboro Arts Museum offers art installations from the students of 11 Massachusetts high schools. This year’s theme of Innovative Recycled Objects is designed to connect students with their environment, raise their awareness of the art of our time, and provide ways for participants to voice their own creativity and comment on their culture.

Each of the following high schools will create one large-scale installation for display in the Ottmar Gallery at the Attleboro Arts Museum:

2. Expo for the Senses – featuring the Attleboro Arts Museum’s Craft Fair and Art Sale

1. HOME: A National Juried Exhibition of Origins, Places and Connections.
Exhibition: July 7 – 31, 2009
Opening Awards Reception: July 10, 7 – 9 pm


HOME can be defined as where one was born or has been for a long period, a place where one lives, a familiar environment, or a community of individuals. Emotional connections to a sense of HOME can be joyfully positive or painfully negative. No matter the interpretation, the concept of HOME surfaces extremely personal views and messages.

This national, juried exhibition includes work in all mediums, sizes and concepts that represents personal expressions of HOME. Six cash prizes of $100 will be awarded.

Director/Curator, Montserrat College of Art Galleries, Beverly, MA

Originally from The Netherlands, Leonie Bradbury graduated Summa cum Laude with a B.A .in Art History from the University of Minnesota in 1998. Followed by a M.A. in the History of Art from Boston University in 2001. As the Director, Curator of Montserrat College of Art Galleries, she curates contemporary art exhibits that feature a range of artists of national and international note. Ms. Hope Turner
Founder/Owner, Arden Gallery, 129 Newbury Street, Boston, MA

Hope Turner is the founder and owner of Arden Gallery in Boston, Massachusetts. For 21 years the gallery has focused on exhibiting an eclectic mix of contemporary artwork by nationally recognized artists. The gallery mounts monthly shows of a wide range of styles and genres ranging from traditional to innovative artworks.

During this time Hope has been a curator of art exhibitions and a juror of art shows. She has traveled extensively to catalogue and to inventory a substantial collection of artwork.
